Shares 500px to G+ are Large, Link Back to Photo Historically, most shares to G- seemed to result in small thumbnails, which only makes the post get largely ignored on G+, so there wasn't much incentive to share off-site content here.  Lately I've been able to get photos on my Blogger site to show up large, but this 500px photos seems to be the first photo sharing site where its content actually seems welcome on G+.  Time will tell whether posts of external content gets equal treatment by the G+ filtering algorithms and What's Hot, but having large photos included in the G+ post is a nice start. Venus and Jupiter Conjunction Today The planets Venus and Jupiter put on a show in the sky this morning as sunrise approached.  As seen from earth, these two bright planets appeared to pass within 0.3 degrees of each other in the sky.  For a closer shot I used a crop sensor camera to get a little more effective zoom out of my lenses, and at 640mm equivalent focal length I was able to resolve four of Jupiter's moons!
