I shot the 2018 Perseid meteor shower south on a Canon EOS 6D and north on a Nikon D750, and created these two video clips from the over 1000 images. www.JeffSullivanPhotography.com #Perseids #PerseidMeteorShower #landscapephotography #nightphotography https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDnnR-2jCgM&feature=autoshare

The 2015 Perseid Meteor Shower is Underway Meteor shower hourly rates will be fairly high tonight, and climb each night through Wednesday night. They'll also be slightly higher after midnight. So get out when you can this week for decent odds of capturing a meteor in your night shots, but if you only get out once, focus on the night of the 12th/13th from midnight until morning twilight.  http://activesole.blogspot.com/2015/08/2015-perseid-meteor-shower-photograph.html #perseid   #meteor   #perseids   #perseidmeteorshower   www.MyPhotoGuides.com

Perseid Meteor Shower 2010-2012 The annual Perseid meteor shower is considered to be active from July 13th to August 26th, peaking around the night of August 12-13.  The weather and moon phase don't always cooperate to offer great viewing conditions, so it can take time to accumulate enough photos to put together a long time-lapse video.   In 2014 I assembled time-lapse clips from the previous recent years to set to this song "While the Sun Was Sleeping" by Life Audience. #perseid   #meteorshower   #astronomy   #science   #astrophotography   #nightphotography   #timelapse   www.MyPhotoGuides.com Originally shared by Jeff Sullivan 2014 Perseid Meteor Shower Peaks Tonight! In honor of the 2014 Perseid Meteor shower peaking tonight, I offer you time-lapse clips from the 2010-2012 Perseids in the first 1:49 of this video.  All of the footage in it was compiled during my travels in recent years.  I hope that you enjoy it! Perseid Meteor Shower 2014 The bears are back at Topaz Lake, as peaches and apples ripen this week.  I went out to pick up my camera just now to see if I caught any Perseid meteors last night, and there was a giant bear turd full of peach pits about 40 feet away from the camera!  My first short time-lapse video clip from the 2014 Perseid meteor shower is up on Twitter/Vine: https://twitter.com/JeffSullPhoto/status/494576383889113088 #perseidmeteorshower  #2014 #news   https://twitter.com/JeffSullPhoto/status/494576383889113088

Perseid Meteor Shower Peaks in 10 Days! It gets stronger every night as the peak approaches; look to the northeast.  The moon sets just after midnight tonight if you want to check its activity tonight under optimal viewing conditions.  Here's a time-lapse video I made from several nights shooting the Perseid meteor shower last year:  http://youtu.be/vTXA5gYWtXs?list=PL6012D9822C1BA1E7 #Perseid   #perseidmeteorshower  #2014 www.MyPhotoGuides.com Originally shared by Jeff Sullivan Perseid Meteor Shower Composite, 2013 I'm still working on my images from the Camelopardalid meteor shower last night.  So in the meantime to kill some time while last night's images process, I produced this composite image showing 40 meteors from 4 hours of the Perseid meteor shower early in the morning of August 12, 2013. These meteors appear in my time-lapse video of the 2013 Perseid Meteor shower on YouTube: Perseid Meteor Shower 2013 Here's the rest of my Astrophotography album on G+ so fa...

Perseid Meteor Shower Time-lapse New footage from recent nights... #perseidmeteorshower   #astronomy   YouTube  Originally shared by Jeff Sullivan Perseid Meteor Shower 2013 - Time-lapse Astrophotography Over six minutes of footage from recent nights, set to the InFiction remix of David Bowie's "Let's Dance", as featured in the recent Kia commercial.  For best results and to see the most meteors, be sure and watch it on YouTube and use the option at the bottom to watch it in HD, either 720P or 1080P HD resolution.   I've given this a few hours head start on G+... +87 so far... now I'll try it on another site and let's see which results in the most response. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTXA5gYWtXs&feature=autoshare
