Introducing Max Vuong's Photography for Selfless Sunday If you havan't seen the excellent work of Max Vuong yet on G+, you should! If you're looking for other relatively undiscovered photographers on G+, check out this circle I just shared, with more photographers generally under 15k contacts or so: https://plus.google.com/104896696773020847048/posts/3fRKS1aDKpz #selflesssunday #SelflessSunday Theme on G+  Originally shared by Max Vuong A rare break in the clouds

Who should I add to an "Emerging Photographers on G+" circle?

Who should I add to an "Emerging Photographers on G+" circle? It started with photographers in +Euro Maestro's Cream of the Crop circle, but I've grown it to include more photographers on G+ who deserve a little more love from the community.  They're not all super-active yet, but it's the time-old "chicken and egg" problem... they'd probably become more active once they see more interaction with the community on G+.  So whether they're brand new to G+ or simply relatively undiscovered, let's welcome them to the G+ photographer community!  Add your photographer nominations in the comments below, thanks. #payitforward #sharingiscaring Sharing is Caring on G+ #selflesssunday

Light Painting Southern Utah

Light Painting Southern Utah I'm adding a few shots to my night photography album.  These are from my trips to Utah in 2009 , using a spotlight for light painting.

Star Trails Image from Landscape Photography Show

Star Trails Image from Landscape Photography Show As I mentioned on the Landscape Photography Show, it is very useful to have different intensities of light painting before and after the main star trails shots, so I have a lot of flexibility to control the lighting on the subject.  The new "comet" feature in StarStaX for star trails is nice too, providing a more intuitive visual representation of rotation, not simply some relatively abstract circular lines. Please Don't Disclose Historic Site Locations

Please Don't Disclose Historic Site Locations    I've watched this site deteriorate from vandalism over the past few decades, and since last Fall one of the buildings on this site was shot and kicked down.  Vandalism only multiplies if a site becomes known online: As Vandals Deface U.S. Parks, Some Point to Online Show-Offs http://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/05/us/as-vandals-take-to-national-parks-some-point-to-social-media.html?_r=1&amp " rel="nofollow"> www.nytimes.com/2013/06/05/us/as-vandals-take-to-national.. . ; Not long ago petroglyphs were stolen from the Bishop area using a generator and a stone-cutting saw.  People disclosing the site locations (or names, allowing directions to be looked up) often claim that increased visitor traffic would protect them, but clearly that did not come about. Comments mentioning the name or location of this site will be deleted, and repeat offenders will be blocked. Originally shared by Jeff Sullivan Please don't d
