"Aunty Em, Aunty Em!" Big winds in the Eastern Sierra today! I'm hoping for lenticular clouds tonight or tomorrow morning. The power is out at the moment, and things like lawn furniture are far downwind. I was getting pelted in the face with debris, so I put on ski goggles. I went and filmed from a dock, but it felt like it might catch the wind and launch me, so I came back in to scrape the debris out of my eyes. #weather #windy #easternsierra

"Poconip" Ice Fog on Topaz Lake I was disappointed to not be able to see the night sky before dawn this morning and there was no sunrise color to speak of, but we had some nice ice fog, locally referred to as "poconip", putting a coating of frost crystals over everything as the sun came up, so the morning turned out very well for photography after all. #Weather #weatherphotography #Winter
