Hospice du Rhone Event in Paso Robles, April 14 - 16 The Hospice du Rhone wine testing event coming up in 11 days will be held in Paso Robles, convenient to wine lovers in both Northern and Southern California.  I've attended multiple Rhone Rangers and Hospice du Rhone wine tasting events in the past, so I can help you decide where to start among the 239 wineries from around the world that will be pouring wines made from syrah, grenache, viognier, and other Rhone varietal grapes: http://activesole.blogspot.com/2016/04/wines-to-taste-at-hospice-du-rhone.html On your way to and from the event, consider checking out the wildflowers blooming profusely now at Carrizo Plain National Monument and in the Figueroa Mountain Recreation Area! #wine   #winetasting   #pasorobles   #california   #visitca  Visit San Luis Obispo County Visit California

April California Wildflower Road Trip One of my favorite road trips ever was a tour of California Wildflowers sites in the spring, five years ago today: http://activesole.blogspot.com/2016/04/california-spring-wildflower-sites-April.html I looked up some photos from that trip to decide whether I should follow the same route again this week. On my blog I display a few of those newly post-processed photos, and discuss yesterday's wildflower report from the Antelope Valley California Poppy Preserve. #california   #wildflowers   #landscapephotography   #visitca

Death Valley Wildflower Report, February 2016 I just passed through the Death Valley area last week, and explored wildflower conditions in the park from south to north: http://www.jeffsullivanphotography.com/blog/2016/02/15/death-valley-wildflower-report-february-2016/ I'll be returning to the park to lead a workshop March 1 - 6, to show other photographers what I've found:  http://www.jeffsullivanphotography.com/blog/death-valley-photography-workshop-2013/ #landscapephotography   #deathvalley   #wildflower   #report   #visitca
