Tout is like "Twitter for 15 second videos"

Tout is like "Twitter for 15 second videos" I'm trying out the new Tout site, essentially a "Twitter for 15 second videos".  I had little use for text-based Twitter, but a short clip video site might be an interesting way for me to show preview video clips of current work in progress, before I have my next finished 3-7 minute video set to music. This sample is from night shooting in Yosemite National Park the week before last.   http://www.tout.com/m/w5iups http://www.tout.com/m/w5iups

Big congrats to Lori Hibbett...

Big congrats to Lori Hibbett ... ...for having a Death Valley dune photo from one of our recent visits reach Flickr's Explore, and for having Flickr also select it to send out a tweet about: _"Flickr ‏@Flickr Spectacular #photo of sand ripples in desert of Death Valley http://www.flickr.com/photos/50091407@N04/8284984036/ "_ Yes, a hot Flickr photo, tweeted on Twitter, and ultimately mentioned on Google+.  It's a complex world we live in.   Click on her name to see this photo larger in her G+ stream.  You may find that you like some of her other work as well.  Or join us in the field for one of our many workshops coming this year.  She has the Nikon side covered (full frame and crop sensor), and I have the Canon side (EOS full frame and crop sensor, as well as the Rebel line).  We may disagree on who has the better camera, but I think you'll agree that we've found many stunning locations to show you around, and we have some useful shooting techniques and post-

Nice to see Lonely Planet give the Eastern Sierra the recognition it deserves!

Nice to see Lonely Planet give the Eastern Sierra the recognition it deserves! Better yet, it was awesome to be able to show so many GPlussers around our home region during the G+ Eastern Sierra Photowalk earlier this year!  You can see some of the participants' photos tagged with #sullimammothwalk   on G+, or visit the Eastern Sierra Nevada Workshops page to see links to their albums.  Lonely Planet definitely made a great selection for their Top 10 list this year. Lori Hibbett and I are working on our workshop and photowalk schedule for 2013... can't wait to tell you some of the cool adventures we have in store for you, either as a an in-person participant or a vicarious one, enjoying the group's photos on Google+! http://activesole.blogspot.com/2012/12/lonely-planet-name-eastern-sierra-top.html http://www.lonelyplanet.com/usa/travel-tips-and-articles/77583#

Two Photos Published in 2013 Calendar

Two Photos Published in 2013 Calendar The Old Farmer's Almanac licensed two of my photos for their calendar this year.  You can see one of my Mono Lake images and a Colorado Fall Colors image on the back cover of the calendar shown here: http://www.calendars.com/Old-Farmers-Almanac-Weather-Watchers-2013-Wall-Calendar/prod201300001061/ That source is sold out of calendars, but I think you can still get them directly through the publishing company here: http://www.almanac.com/product/old-farmers-almanac-2013-weather-watchers-calendar http://www.almanac.com/product/old-farmers-almanac-2013-weather-watchers-calendar
