Spring in Napa Valley

Spring in Napa Valley The mustard grows so tall in Napa Valley, you can often shoot through it like a warming filter!  See more of my blooming mustard and vineyard images in my Wine Country album here on G+: https://plus.google.com/photos/+JeffreySullivan/albums/5905007597272052865 #NapaValley   #spring   #vineyard   #wildmustard   #wildflowers

Wild Mustard in Napa Valley Spring is a great time to visit Napa Valley.  This is when the vineyards fill with wild mustard, like this vineyard in Oakville, California. Daffodil Hill is Blooming Early This Year

Image
Daffodil Hill is Blooming Early This Year Daffodil Hill, near the town of Volcano, in California's Amador County, opened on Monday, February 23, two weeks earlier than it has opened in its 75 years. "Each spring, from mid-March through mid-April, Daffodil Hill explodes with thousands of blooms, attracting visitors from around the world. It is estimated that today, Daffodil Hill is carpeted with over 300,000 bulbs. Daffodil Hill is in a beautiful alpine setting at an elevation of over 3,000 feet. With pine trees, an old barn, wagon wheels, and rusting mining equipment and farming tools, it appeals to anyone with a love of nature. Flowers are everywhere, with pea-fowl, chickens, pigeons and lambs making themselves at home." http://www.amadorcountychamber.com/Daffodil%20Hill.htm More locations to check for wildflowers this year: http://www.jeffsullivanphotography.com/blog/2008/02/23/spring-wildflowers-in-california/ #spring   #flowers   #California
