Mercury Transit Coming May 9!
Mercury Transit Coming May 9! This is an image of the Venus transit of the sun, June 5, 2012. The planet Mercury will cross in front of the sun as seen from earth on May 9, 2016. A solar filter can be used to photograph this event safely. I've added notes on capturing this sort of event on my blog: http://www.jeffsullivanphotography.com/blog/2014/04/07/venus-transit-across-the-face-of-the-sun-june-5-2012/ #astrophotography #teamcanon #solar #transit #Mercury
