Death Valley Workshop coming this Winter!

Image
Death Valley Workshop coming this Winter! There are three main areas a workshop can help photographers become more productive and successful: deep location knowledge and guidance, shooting technique, and post-processing technique. Your post-processing approach determines a large part of your success, and it can determine your approach to shooting (which encompasses far more than just exposure), so post-processing is critical to consider up front. If you'd like to practice better photography in Death Valley National Park, consider my workshop March 13 - 16, 2013! I've added some Death Valley images to the front of this album for your enjoyment.

Results From Recent Workshops at Bodie I've expanded this album in recent weeks to include the Sept 22, Oct 6 and Oct 7 workshops in Bodie State Historic Park, California.  I just added more images this morning, drop by and check them out if you have the time! Night Photography Workshop: Perseid Meteor Shower, Next Weekend!

Night Photography Workshop: Perseid Meteor Shower, Next Weekend! My next workshop is coming up fast!  We'll capture photos of the Milky Way, star trails, light painting, no doubt a few meteors, and if you like, we can capture and produce timelapse videos! Below are examples of the images I shot during one Perseid Meteor Shower.  This collection of shots was captured in 2009 but I just got around to processing them to create this timelapse video. We'll have lodging, meals, and we should be able to find time for some classroom work, all for a great low price!  Please contact me for additional details. #SkySunday Sky Sunday - Photography Theme Patrick Scherkenbach Randy Scherkenbach  Originally shared by Eastern Sierra Nevada Workshops Perseid Meteor Shower Workshop August 11-12, 2012 This is timelapse footage of the Perseid Meteor Shower in August.  Make sure you're watching it full screen in 720P HD format! Updates to G+ Business Page

Image
Updates to G+ Business Page I updated my business page icon on G+ tonight to visually distinguish it from my personal page.  I don't think I'm quite ready for a switch over for primary use, but I'll keep playing with the functionality to monitor any tradeoffs.
