Wave Cloud at Sunrise This Morning

Wave Cloud at Sunrise This Morning
The Sierra Nevada is getting hammered by heavy storms this week, but as the air hits the big drop in elevation on the East side, it warms and loses moisture. Sometimes it bounces back up and water vapor re-condenses in a lenticular "wave" cloud, which also often manifests a pancake-like layered character. This is what the clouds looked like this morning. Without the common "pancake" structure i'm not sure if it's a true lenticular, but it was a great sight to behold nonetheless.
Shortly after this photo was taken the moon emerged from behind the cloud, but the sky color wasn't as dramatic, so this remains my favorite from the morning. I used ISO 50 and f/22 to abstract the waves somewhat, and a 3 stop GND filter to knock down the sky exposure and further cut light and lengthen exposure time overall.
