I'm adding a few shots to my night photography album.  These are from my trips to Utah in 2009 , using a spotlight for light painting.

    I remember a couple years ago out at South Tufa...my only light was a 3-AAA LED flashlight with half-dead batteries (nearly full moon so I didn't need it to see to walk around). Darn thing worked...not terribly far, but it illuminated the formation!

I was shooting up at 11,000 feet in the White Mountains and ran my camera for about 4 hours, from 10:40pm Friday until 2:50am, well after the moon came up.
