Twitter seems to be an important factor in videos going viral (excluding highlighting by the video site itself), so the inclusion of an image accompanying a Vimeo URL in a Twitter post seems to be making a difference. There is more information and a thumbnail included with Flickr video URLs shared on Twitter as well, but not Flickr photo URLs.
Since I can refer people to individual frames/photos posted to Flickr along with my Vimeo video, the most efficient way to reach three sites for video, images and a Twitter message (with image) may be a video post to Vimeo, with links to the corresponding Flickr images witht he Vimeo video, with the Vimeo link shared to Twitter.
