Moon, Mars, Venus Conjunction Over Mount Whitney
When I learned that the moon would be near Venus and Mars on February 20 I decided to try to catch them setting behind Mount Whitney, the tallest mountain in America's Lower 48 states.  I researched where to stand to place them setting over the peak using The Photographer's Ephemeris, and headed to Lone Pine to test my prediction.  Here's how it turned out!
