New Photographing California Guidebook
New Photographing California Guidebook
Here's the preview copy I received over the weekend, with other books in the series by the same publisher. Sign up on my blog to hear when hardcopies and ebooks are available, including author-signed copies: http://activesole.blogspot.com/2015/07/new-California-landscape-photography-guidebook.html
Thanks to Lori Carey Phillip Colla Tom Grubbe Lori Hibbett Daniel Leifheit QT Luong Garry McCarthy John H. Moore Elena Northroup Steve Sieren Sairam Sundaresan for supplying photos for the book, and to J. Rae Chip for Salton Sea area guidance. You're all mentioned in the book in the Acknowledgements section.
I met many of the contributors in my travels and/or through photowalks. This would have been a different, probably harder and less fun project without the camaraderie of meeting new and old friends along the way. Both the photowalks I announced on G+, and G+ as a communication platform in general, facilitated that process, so I owe Google employees Brian Rose and Gerard Sanz thanks for their encouragement of my photowalks when Google+ was growing rapidly in 2011 and 2012.
I'm not sure what my next big project will be, but I ask for your input on a few possibilities over on this blog post.
