Golden Trout Wilderness Sunrise Reflection

Golden Trout Wilderness Sunrise Reflection
This was captured at dawn at Muir Lake in the Golden Trout Wilderness in the Southern Sierra. The most intense summer storm on record for Southern California was on its way that night, and the clouds in advance of it provided a great light show as the first light of the rising sun struck the surrounding peaks. This was a 6+ mile hike from the Horseshoe Meadows trailhead, mostly around 10,000 feet in elevation. The rain started before sunset, and didn't let up until 11am the following day. With water soaking in through the tent floor and more rain or snow in the forecast, it was time to get out ASAP before the next wave of the deluge struck! (And yes, I did catch several golden trout before the storm arrived!)
