Orionid Meteor Shower Last Saturday Morning (HD Timelapse Video) The Orionid Meteor Shower this year was a bit of a dud. I was shooting up at 11,000 feet in the White Mountains and ran my camera for about 4 hours, from 10:40pm Friday until 2:50am, well after the moon came up. ReplyDeleteIt takes an 8-9 mile hike to reach this place, but it's worth it! (To keep it from getting too crowded, you have to get a special permit in advance.) The light on this day was reflected in off of red rock canyon walls.
