ReplyDeleteThanks Philippe, This was taken during the total lunar eclipse in December 2010. The weather forecast was for intense storms across the entire West Coast of the U.S., so I had to drive 2000 miles round trip to reach Tucson, Arizona, the closest place where I could be confident in reasonably clear shooting weather.

Depending upon where you live on the planet, a lunar eclipse will occur starting either late April 14 or in the early morning hours of April 15. NASA provides the times in Universal TIme (UT):
