“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world’s great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters.” - Norman Maclean, "A River Runs Through It" #plusphotoextract
yeah that's really amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe proper exposure for the sky left the rock arch too dark, so I took a spotlight that I was carrying and used myself as a reflector, casting some diffuse light back on the arch as I walked back and forth behind the camera during the long exposure.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites of your stuff. Did you go backpacking as planned?
ReplyDeleteMichael Menefee, Since my objective was only about 4 miles in, I decided to make the hike in during the day, catch sunset, then hike out after dark. That gained me a day to work before I pickup up my kids last night. I'll probably take them backpacking in early August, then resume my more intensive backpacking schedule around August 11 or so.
ReplyDeleteGreat feeling from the streaking clouds.
