Orionid Meteor Shower Last Saturday Morning (HD Timelapse Video) The Orionid Meteor Shower this year was a bit of a dud. I was shooting up at 11,000 feet in the White Mountains and ran my camera for about 4 hours, from 10:40pm Friday until 2:50am, well after the moon came up. ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites of your stuff. Did you go backpacking as planned?
ReplyDeleteMichael Menefee, Since my objective was only about 4 miles in, I decided to make the hike in during the day, catch sunset, then hike out after dark. That gained me a day to work before I pickup up my kids last night. I'll probably take them backpacking in early August, then resume my more intensive backpacking schedule around August 11 or so.
ReplyDeleteGreat feeling from the streaking clouds.
