New Light Painting Tool in the Bag
I spent a week in March getting to know the ProtoMachines LED2 light in Death Valley National Park and Nevada.  I used it under the Milky Way, with star trails, light painting subjects near and far, with and without moonlight.

I'll use the LED2 more over the next 6 week to practice for our light painting session in Bodie on the night of May 24.  Currently we're offering the night bundled with interior access earlier that morning, but we'll soon offer them separately as well to fill the last few spaces:

  2. Hamid Dastmalchi  Thank you.  The place was amazing, with short canyons that I could walk back into.  I tried to light one up, but with the moonlight it's difficult to see the light shining in those deeper sections, so it would be good to re-shoot this concept on a darker night with less moonlight.  I only tried this concept once or twice because I was going to get up at 3 am to come back out to shoot the Milky Way here as well.

  3. Jeff Sullivan l know what you talking about :-)

I had same problem in last photography trip .
Unfortunately I had no benefit to make what I was planning to do for white fog.
There where a high attitude jungle , with awesome various types of rocks everywhere .
I had only 2 out of 14 days without heavy rain , clouds & white wet fog there :-)
( even with using portable light sources ... )
I am so sure you did a great job with enjoying by the final reasons .
There is a wonderful technical story with each single masterpiece capture by light painting :-)
