Total Lunar Eclipse September 27, 2015

Total Lunar Eclipse September 27, 2015
The partly cloudy forecast and webcam images didn't look all that promising in the Eastern Sierra yesterday afternoon, so I ditched my plans to pursue one of several compositions that I had worked out, and I stayed home to see if the moon would make any appearance at all.  Here's the story and some of my results from the event:

  2. Shirlee Severs Thanks, I drove from the Eastern Sierra to Lassen Volcanic Park, Crater Lake National Park, Bandon, Mount Rainier, Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula, Revelstoke National Park British Columbia, Lake Louise in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Fernie, B.C., Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, then back home via Salt Lake City. I was doing a lot of driving so I didn't have much time to process images, and I had no cellular plan in Canada and minimal service elsewhere, so although I took time to clear memory cards, it was effectively a vacation from the Internet.

  5. Thanks Marie Barros !  How does that work?  I have so many collections, including new and old Stories and I often update G+ albums that show up under Photos as Collections too.  Can I nominate a new Collection for consideration, or can I share Stories or albums (as Collections) for consideration?
